KURANDA SCENIC RAILWAY

Thank you for your ongoing and valued support of Kuranda Scenic Railway. Safety is the number one priority for Queensland Rail Travel and to maintain this commitment it is necessary to undertake programmed preventative maintenance works on our services throughout the year.

All Kuranda Scenic Railway services are cancelled on the following dates due to planned maintenance on the Kuranda Range:

Thu 20 and Fri 21 April 2017

Thu 08, Fri 09, Thu 15 and Fri 16 June 2017

Thu 12 and Fri 13 October 2017

Mon 13, Tue 14, Mon 20 and Tue 21 November 2017

Mon 04 and Tue 05 December 2017

All Kuranda Scenic Railway services will not be operational on Christmas Day.

The 8.30am Cairns–Kuranda and 2.00pm Kuranda–Cairns Kuranda Scenic Railway services are cancelled on the following dates due to planned Skyrail maintenance:

Fri 24, Sat 25 and Sun 26 March 2017

Note: The 9.30am Cairns–Kuranda and 3.30pm Kuranda–Cairns Kuranda Scenic Railway services will run as normal.

Note: Skyrail has programmed a four (4) week maintenance closure from Mon 8 May until Sunday 4 Jun, however Kuranda Scenic Railway will be operating normal services during this period.

The above dates have been carefully selected with consideration to visitor trends during these months. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Please amend your tour and itinerary planning accordingly in respect of these dates.

Hello! We have so many fantastic new things happening here at Aussie World!

This month we launched our brand new logo which is fun and colourful just like all the rides at Aussie World. On Friday our new website went live and we're so excited to share it with you! Visit www.aussieworld.com.au to see it for yourself.

We also have some great live events in store this month with Shannon Noll at The Shed this Saturday! That's right... Nollsie is coming to Aussie World and tickets are selling fast so be sure to click the link below to secure tickets to this intimate accoustic concert with Australia's favourite son. With Easter just around the corner, the Aussie World Kids, Easter Bunny and Co have come up with a huge list of activities to keep everyone smiling from toe to toe.

Visit on Easter Sunday to take part in the Easter Bunny Hunt and enjoy all the rides, shows and attractions. It's all included in the entry price there's more egg-cellent fun than ever.

Gigantic Easter Bunny Hunt

Easter is going to be awesome at Aussie World. Drop in to see us on Easter Sunday to take part in the gigantic Easter Bunny Hunt throughout the park. The younger kids will love meeting the Easter Bunny and taking part in all the activities including our Easter Disco in the Shed. Get your dancing shoes on and we'll see you there! 

Remember we’re open 9am until 5pm daily (including public holidays) and all the Easter Holiday School fun is included in the normal admission price because 'Fun's Our Thing'.

The Aussie Kids at coming to Aussie World these school holidays!

The Easter School Holidays are coming and the Aussie Kids are excited! They've been practicing their cool NEW Aussie Kids Shows and they have new songs and fun dances to share with you.

Come and spend the day with Jake and Tilly and the other characters as they take to the Aussie World streets for roaming street theatre and more performances than ever before.

It starts with the Wild West at 10.45am and continues throughout the day.

Easter Bilby on show at Australian Reptile Park

See the Easter Bilby at Australian Reptile Park from 25th-28th March over the Easter long weekend both in the nocturnal house and in the Easter Bilby show.

A very rare sighting will be taking place over the Easter break at Australian Reptile Park, with twin baby bilbies Adoni and Alkina to be surfaced from their burrows for guests to admire in the park’s limited time only Easter Bilby Show.  Taking place from 25th-28th March the show is in recognition of the iconic Aussie Easter Bilby, one of Australia’s most endangered marsupials.

As part of Australian Reptile Park’s successful breeding program in partnership with Save the Bilby Fund, the twin bilbies were born at Australian Reptile Park and are now at an age (6months) where they can be weaned from their parents to be on show at Australian Reptile Park.

Due to restrictions on licensed trading hours throughout Queensland on specific days of the year, alcohol service will not be available on certain KSR services on some occasions each year.

UPCOMING RESTRICTED TRADING DAYS:

GOOD FRIDAY Friday, 25 March 2016

KSR Gold Class will be available without alcohol service.

KSR Royale service will not be available.

ANZAC DAY Monday, 25 April 2016

KSR Gold Class will be available without alcohol service for services departing Freshwater Station at

9.50am. Normal alcohol service will be available for the Kuranda Station 3.30pm service.

KSR Royale service will not be available for services departing Freshwater Station at 8.50am and

9.50am. Normal alcohol service will be available for the Kuranda Station 2.00pm and 3.30pm service.
